AREA Talk

Aquatic Resources Education Association   AREA TALK  Aquatic Resources Education Association

One of the most valuable benefits of being a member of AREA is the availability of AREA Talk, a bulk list server for AREA members used as a discussion forum, to exchange or offer ideas, and to communicate on national, regional, state, and local levels about a wide variety of aquatic issues.  Members sometimes engage in lively conversations of aquatic program management, educational programs, and the success/failure of aquatic management methodologies.  Members can research the experiences of others in community-based activities, share or encourage local sponsorship of a particular angler program, and can learn about aquatic studies and scientific research being conducted. Members provide information to other members on activities ranging from the legislation at federal, state and county levels to information on what fish are biting in the state.

AREA Talk is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week and may be used by any member with a PC and internet access at work or at home.  Prior messages are archived and those topics can be researched by AREA Members.

New AREA members are given instructions on using AREA Talk by the Secretary/List Administrator of AREA as part of the organizational welcome.
